Vision Statement
I am fortunate to serve in an organization with a long and storied tradition dedicated to the “promotion, advancement, education and training of the industry for the protection of the environment and the health, safety, and comfort of society.” I will certainly work to continue the tradition of excellence.
While we celebrate our past, we must also look to the future. We face many challenges as we move forward. Among these challenges are the threat of terrorism, sustainable products, fabrication materials, workforce labor and internationalization. Will terrorists develop ways of contaminating plumbing and environmental systems and will new standards and equipment be developed to counteract them? Will sustainable building continue to be economically driven or regulatory? Will we still use PVC, copper, and steel in 10 years or will energy prices motivate the market to develop alternatives? Where will the workers of tomorrow come from? Will they be well paid skilled craftsmen or will the workforce be “dumbed down” because of a declining workforce? We must address these questions and have viable solutions before these situations become eminent. We can only be prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow if we begin shaping their solutions today.
It is truly an honor to serve as Executive Director of PHCC, and I’m privileged to carry-on the legacy of this organization while working to meet the challenges that lie ahead. I look forward to working with all of you as we take significant strides to better the lives of Oklahoma’s families.
